At PIHT, our practical nursing program near Morgantown, WV is a direct admittance program. This means you won’t waste time and money taking classes only to find out later that you are not accepted into the program. You will graduate in just 12 months, and upon graduation, our students are eligible to take the licensing exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

To achieve the aims of the Practical Nursing program, students are required to participate in clinical experiences in a variety of settings. Nursing students will utilize the nursing process to provide safe, effective care while applying the scientific principles of nursing.
This program fulfills the educational prerequisites for professional licensing in Pennsylvania. Upon program completion, graduates will be eligible to take the Pennsylvania State Licensing Exam for Practical Nurses.
Successfully passing the Pennsylvania State Licensing Exam qualifies the graduate to be employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
