How to Enroll for Fall Classes

Fall classes are starting soon, so read on as we share exactly how to get started!

Enroll for Fall Classes

First, to enroll for fall classes, you need to request information. Call us at 724-437-4600, or come into our campus at 1015 Mt. Braddock Rd, Mt. Braddock, PA 15465.

Then, you will work with a PIHT Admissions Advisor to help you through the enrollment process. You will schedule a time to come in for a Career Planning Session to talk about your career goals, take a tour of the PIHT campus, and get the chance to meet faculty. Feel free to bring a family member or friend to your campus visit!

Next, you will meet with a Financial Aid Representative, fill out your FAFSA if needed, submit all required documentation, and sign up for your classes. Congratulations, you are now officially registered for classes!

Now that you’re enrolled for classes, we will work with you to make sure you have everything you need for career training success, like your scrubs, books, and supplies.

Healthcare Programs and Professional Certifications

PIHT programs are designed to give you the career training, hands-on skills, and professional certifications needed to pursue an exciting career in the healthcare industry.

With our Medical Assisting program, you will prepare for an exciting career as a Medical Assistant and can sit for professional certifications including National Certified Medical Assistant, Certified EKG Technician, and Certified Phlebotomy Technician. You will learn essential hands-on skills like taking a patient’s vital signs, checking a patient’s vision, collecting medical specimens, checking a patient’s blood-sugar level, performing certain lab tests, and assisting with simple surgeries.

Our Medical Office Administration program trains you in many areas crucial to helping medical facilities run smoothly, such as performing basic coding, maintaining electronic health records, handling billing, understanding medical terms, and transcribing a doctor’s notes. You will prepare to sit for the National Certified Medical Office Assistant, Certified Billing and Coding Specialist, and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist professional certifications.

As part of our direct admission Practical Nursing program, you prepare for a great career as a practical nurse, giving you the ability to positively impact people’s lives on a daily basis. You will train in critical areas like conducting physical assessments, administering medications, caring for wounds, performing IV therapy, monitoring vital signs, collecting medical specimens, and performing routine lab tests. With our comprehensive practical nursing program, you are expertly prepared to take the licensing exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
